BEST 4 BOTH

This will probably go no farther than the computer trashcan, but I'll post anyway.
:cool:
FDev is missing a LOT of profitability and the players would gain a good deal of great gameplay IMMERrrrrrrSION, by allowing buildings on the available planets and moons, -
Im not asking for Atmospheric planets, -
Just using the gasless planets ingame now would work just as well and not cause a complete re-write of the game itself as SpaceLegs and atmosphere planets would.

Allow players to establish bases by listing the pre-rendered buildings as modules to purchase, as you would paint jobs, nameplates, etc. from the Frontier site used for the available items now offered.

The numbers will vary of course, but this could be a typical scenario: [where is it]

Planet \ Moon access for building permissions = 25 USD

Each building and landing pad purchased separately:

Basic Completed Base with 5 buildings (2S,2M,1L) - 3 pads (2S,1M,) = 25 USD
Each Extra Building Slot \ Landing Pad = 5

Small Pad = 5 USD
Med Pad = 10
Large Pad = 20

Various extra non - use buildings:

Inflatable = 5 USD
Small = 7.50
Med = 10
Large = 15
Tall = 20
Domed = 25

Defense Turrents (non active - 10 USD) \ ( active \ destructable - 20 )

Any type Scan Point = 10
- Each use of scan point = Bounties accrued are credited to the base owner

ADDITIONAL:

Use SRV to deliver commodities to the appropriate building at mission points - (Alter the same code used for scanning data points) -

Use SRV to deliver rescue missions at Spaceports - ( Escape Pods - Black Box ).

(if you have 10 units to deliver, that is 5 trips to THAT delivery point). - (Any mission over 10 units are charged a fee for delivery by Base Owner)

( )

I expect a lot of controversies or complete dismissal of these ideas,
but I would like appropriate language comments ( no cursing allowed )[haha]

People are so desperate for the game to actually start to realize the potential we all see, they are ASKING to get fleeced in the store?

Cosmetics should be in stores, not base (literally, base, in this case) functionality.

But, yes. These are only a couple of the things they SHOULD be doing. Instead, they're taking 6 months to make mining slightly more interesting, or something. Then, they make a couple multi-use items, and call exploration fixed, and go back to... whatever it is they do.

The way you are talking about monetising this game? Hell no! We dont want none of that thx. The buildings yes but turrets for dollars... its ok.

Player owned bases on planets, hell yes.
Locking them behind a pay-as-you-go wall, hell no!

If FDev want to organise this a game feature, fine. Lock the overall functionality behind a paid DLC (like SRVs/SLFs), also fine. Charging per outpost, or even compartment, not at all fine. This isn't how games should work, it's simply a sad, pathetic incarnation that we can largely thank soulless corporations for. We do not need another Destiny.

Features should be implemented as holistic packs that consumers can weigh the pros of against a known fee. Microtransactions are for a-holes like EA and Activision.

Edit: Before someone brings up the Frontier store, that's cosmetic items, not features; two entirely different things.

I totally agree with you here.

And I am a bit surprised that they decided to go with mega ship instead of base building on landable planets.
