Caching Buildings vs single piece scenery Items

Is it better on the engine running Planet Coaster to Group objects into a building vs creating many single pieces? Wondering if load times decrease when items are grouped. Does this have an effect in caching objects or anything?

I don't believe this has any effect on performance. The number of objects on your map will slow your load times and fps. If you build with less items, (and use less billboards, special effects, limit guest numbers, less glass items) you will get better performance regardless of whether they are single items or buildings.

When you have large amounts of objects grouped into a building or scenery group and you want to edit that,it can reduce performance for that moment of loading, but in general it doesn't seem to matter indeed.

it won’t matter. A1,000 piece building is the same as 1,000 separated items. Performance depends on how much stuff is in your park not if their “buildings” or not. If u want to easily edit something group them.
