    Planet Coaster - Spring Update

    Hello Planet Coaster players,

I'm excited to share the following news with you:

Frontier have announced today via a press release on Games Press (http://www.gamespress.com/release.asp?c=e91240--147211) that the Spring Update will be released on the 11th of April 2017.

The press release is as follows:

Frontier Reveals Planet Coasterís FREE Spring Update

Celebrate spring with new rides and new features for Planet Coaster, free on April 11

Cambridge, UK. 13 March 2017. Frontier Developments plc (AIM: FDEV) today revealed the new Planet Coaster Spring Update, available to all Planet Coaster players for FREE on April 11, 2017.

Spring has sprung! The sun is shining, birds are singing and Planet Coaster is celebrating the new season with three new rollercoasters, three new fully-customizable flatrides and the unique ĎSpeedí go-kart ride to thrill and delight your park guests.

Planet Coasterís Spring Update is Planet Coasterís second major expansion following Decemberís Winter Update, offering huge new creative opportunities for Planet Coaster players. Today Steamís Planet Coaster Workshop is home to almost 100,000 community creations, and Aprilís Spring Update will open the door to even more variety and creativity.

But a new danger lurks in the world of Planet Coaster, with pickpockets and vandals now operating in playersí parks. A crime-ridden park will see guestsí happiness fall along with your profits, but security guards and CCTV cameras are on hand to keep park guests safe and prevent mischief-makers from spoiling the fun.

The Planet Coaster Spring Update includes:

    New Rollercoasters
    • Steel Hydra. Feel the G-force aboard Planet Coasterís first suspended swinging coaster.
    • Trident. Go there and back again with the first of Planet Coasterís two new shuttle coasters.
    • Bakasura. Tridentís bigger, badder brother is a thrilling inverted boomerang coaster.

    New Tracked Ride
    • ĎSpeedí Go Karts. Design your own karting tracks using Planet Coasterís powerful track editor and see your guests put pedal to the metal! Who will win and who will spin?

    New Flatrides
    • Elixir Machine. 360 degrees of spinning, swinging, twisting, upside-down insanity.
    • Big Wheel. An iconic favorite from the golden age of theme parks.
    • ZoZo. The long-armed ZoZo is another addition to Planet Coasterís lineup of vintage classics.

    New Feature
    • Crime and security. Dissatisfied guests may vandalize park scenery, and pickpockets will infiltrate your park to steal other guestsí cash. Keep your law-abiding guests safe with security staff and CCTV cameras.

Excellent news! That is sooner than I expected!

Nice job Team Frontier. I'm looking forward to the update. Personally I'm very excited for the classic ferris wheel. I love ferris wheels.

Strange decision to release this now surely, only as I understand it there's still a Ton more content to come, doesn't even mention the two extra Boomerang Coasters Sam spoke of, but they were a #SpolierSam, so it's safe to assume this press release was complied before PAX at least.

    How did I miss that

Can we assume there's more Flat rides though, and this is merely a PAX review release. I would of thought a Press release such as this, would be better served immediately after the 'Weds' Stream that was mentioned, whenever that may be.

Well they did mention there was more, but personally i feel that more rides would be too good to be true

Ofcourse there are still a few on my wishlist but like i said, we have 7 already that we know so... im a bit hesistant to hope for more rides
Personally i think the "more" might have reffered to other stuff like scenery or gameplay elements. But ofcourse thats just me guessing

This doesn't feel right to me.. there's something off about this "press release"

Yeah, not sure if this is official or not, I say not, it's just a PAX content review from some gaming site.

Yea, I think so as well. This 'press release' only lists the new features and rides that were announced during the live streams. I think it was during the second stream where Sam said they only showed a tiny glimpse of what to come.

The press release is official; I have confirmation from Brett C. No need to worry about this one.
