    Not excited about chairlifts myself, I do think it's neat they are coming because so many people have been craving them. So a good worthy addition. And happier to get chairlifts than yet another rollercoaster. But yes, a water ride would have been thé dream last ride. Next time!

    Isn’t that the same for some old-fashioned-American-rides that are already ingame? Or the single rail coaster that only exists in two or tree parks at the moment?

    Those are outside of the parks though to shuttle people between the Epcot area and the Hollywood Studios area, not an attraction inside. I understand that people want them but it seems that there are many more parks without then than with them. Not a top priority for me. Rather have more water rides etc.

    In the uk I can name a few parks with cable cars: 1. Alton Towers 2. Flamingo Land 3. Drayton Manor 4: Gulivers kingdom (Matlock) Then there’s other attractions in the uk that ain’t theme parks with them: 1. London 2. Heights of abbriham 3. Llandudno cable cars (Wales)

    I want this i want that for chairlift, can you be happy for a moment that you got them? Also they haven't been officialy confirmed yet,could also be a tmt item or coming next update. They probably will not be updated,because Frontier never updates dlc packs

    Interesting read, thanks for explaining!! :-) This is also why others were asking for sets/sharing of textures to be made possible right (if you have 5 objects with the same texture, the texture file size is in game not once, but 5 times right - or not because it shares the same name and thus overwrites ?) Hope they manage to implement that somewhere down the line.

    Isn’t this section supposed to be where we make suggestions and requests? This was more of a request, not a complaint that they made it wrong. It would be nice if they could in the future make an update for the chairlift with the von roll type gondolas if they didn’t now.

    Not until next Tuesday when the patch comes out. Since 1.7 or so, maybe 1.8 but I think earlier, transport rides have been completely broken. It's actually an issue with peep behavior, not the rides themselves, but the peep mis-behavior breaks all transport rides. Frontier has said they've identified the problem and have a fix in work. This is a long story so I'll try to hit only the high points: * Originally, transport rides were just that, a time-saver for peeps wanting to go a long distance across the park. They didn't have prestige or other ride stats. Peeps regarded them solely as a substitute for paths regardless of scenery. * At some point earlier this year, due to much popular demand, Frontier changed this. From then on, transport rides had a dual purpose: transport AND entertainment same as any other track ride. So then transport rides got full ride stats and prestige. This had the positive effect of allowing you to build trains, monorails, and the recently added boats strictly as regular rides with only 1 station. But the rides retained their transport function so could have multiple stations. But peeps going on a transport ride for entertainment ONLY make full laps, they NEVER get off at other stations along the way. And being track rides, transport rides now benefit from STUPIDLY high excitement relative to their speed compared to coasters, AND they have very low fear, so they have STUPIDLY high prestige and their stats are in the sweet...

    It is for the Nintendo Switch, it's on the e shop and a physical copy will be out at the end of the month. The fun house isn't really like interactive just something you place down to make money like in past RCT games.

    I really want different types of vehicles for the upcoming chairlift. Yes, you leaked a screenshot of it. I also want the enclosed bucket type gondolas that are rectangular and the ends are slanted. Like \__/ with a roof on top but open sides. The chairlift was a very requested ride and won’t be complete without those type of vehicles.

    Fun houses? I’d love to see them without buying the game. What system is it for? Now with the rotating barrel made in Planet by Sarrah, that would go good with a fake fun house in PC. I feel that console coaster games are too limiting, even if they have more interactivity than PC like midway games, etc. because in computer coaster games you can build what you want and there is more flexibility.

    100% agree. I've brought this up many times. The root problem is that prestige (which is what attracts peeps to rides) is a combination of a ride's scenery, duration, and excitement, and excitement isn't scored equally. Assuming you pimp everything in your park to the same standard, scenery is a wash. Track rides are slower than coasters so typically have considerably longer durations for the same length of track, giving them the edge there. But excitement is largely a function of speed , which should give coasters the edge there. But there's no track ride that can even reach 30mph at its fastest setting, which is a speed that's boringly dull on coasters. Yet a 20mph track ride can easily achieve 5+ excitement and, because it's slow, can't cause a fear rating < 3.5. A 5+ excitement and a < 3.5 fear is the sweet spot for attracting almost every peep in the park of any demographic. The cause is obvious. Track rides get WAY more excitement per mph than do coasters, so that even though track rides are ridiculously slow compared to coasters, they still get coaster-like excitement. Which, when combined with the long durations of track rides and scenery at least equal to that of the coasters, gives track rides STUPIDLY high prestige compared to coasters and everything else in the park, and their fear rating is in the wheelhouse of all demographics. Thus, they are ALWAYS the MOST POPULAR rides in any park unless the builder deliberately makes them very short and...

    Yes! I am also not entirely sure how to calculate texel rate either, ha ha. Easiest is of course 1m plane (with same on both sides) 256 px. : But an object uv unwrapped with lots of "empty areas" due to intricateness of shape and reduction of visible seams - whoops, not as easy. hmm. Interesting indeed. Another way to figure might be to put a few of ingame objects with similar detailed (painted) surface beside the TMT object and look at it. Of course not a fair thing because the devs are professionals with knowing how to do the most effective way and (many of us) are amateurs at various levels. It would be nice to see some example objects from them! I know risk of it will be copied and all that, so maybe something that is not very branded, something purposed for this.
